BioThis LJ is a quiet little venture centered on my BJD dolls and the world they inhabit.
In here you will find:
My Writings.
I aspire to be a writer as Rilke defines it:
"Find out the reason that commands you to write. ... Confess to yourself whether you would have to die if you were forbidden to write. This most of all: ask yourself in the most silent hour of your night: MUST I write? Dig into yourself for a deep answer. And if this answer rings out in assent, if you meet the solemn question with a strong, simple ‘I MUST,’ then build your life in accordance with this necessity; your whole life, even into its humblest and most indifferent hour."
So... yeah. It's not so much about high quality as about joy in the creative process.
Also, I confess I haven't been born to English, my mother's tongue is German. I have no illusions that I could successfully hide that fact. ^^
My Photographs.
I'm a photographer only in the sense that I posess and use a camera. In my more optimistic moments I like to tell myself I'm looking for Intimate Angles. I love real light and pastel colours and heightened contrasts.
The main characters of this little project, aka my Imaginary Dears, are as follows:
Her name:Naomi Justine Noah Whitelaw
Daydreamer and whimsical explorer,
loves the wind and the woods,
got lost in the big city.
Not his name: The Pierrot
Wire-walker and time traveler,
grew up in a circus and ends up at a theater,
houses his daydream on the far side of the bed.
